Size it before you price it

Most patios we’re called in to replace are simply too small. A table and six chairs needs about sixteen by eighteen feet before anyone can push a chair back without stepping off the edge.

Getting it right

A grill and two chairs is a different patio than a dining table, and a dining table is a different patio than a fire pit people stand around. We’d rather talk you into the right size now than lay a patio you grow out of in two seasons.

Start with what happens out there

A border course set in concrete is what stops a paver patio spreading at the edges, and spreading is the single most common failure we get called out to fix.

The edge matters as much as the middle

A low wall along one edge seats six more people, holds the grade where the patio meets the lawn, and gives the whole thing a finished edge. Built with the patio it’s a modest addition. Added two years later it means lifting the border and starting again.
